Why Order From Patent Creations?

Is it Safe to Order Online from Patent Creations?

Yes, we believe in using the latest in online security, to ensure the safety of your personal information. Please click on the Security Icons, located at the top of each page for more details.

Will I See a Proof before my Order goes into Production?

Yes. Our Art Department will take your personalization and create a virtual proof for your viewing. They will select fonts and sizes to fit the awards that you have chosen. If you have a specific request, please enter that in the Comments section, during the ordering process. The proof will be emailed to you. Once you have looked it over, simply respond to the email with your approval, or with changes that you would like to make. We Will Not start Production until we have your Approval of the Artwork.

Do I need to Place my Order Online?

No. You can also place your order by Phone, Fax, Mail or Email. Please remember to provide us with a copy of your Purchase Order (if needed), or a Tax Exempt Letter (if applicable). If you decide to send in your order via Fax, Mail or Email, we will contact you to get your credit card information. For your own security, we prefer you give that information to us over the phone.

How will I know my Order was Received?

Upon receiving your order, we will send out an email, thanking you for your order, and the opportunity to help you.

What is your Production Time?

We schedule every order to ship within 5 business days. Once we receive your order, our Art Department will create the layout and send you a Virtual Proof, via email. As soon as we have received your approval, the artwork will go into production and your order will ship within a couple of business days. We do everything possible to make sure your awards are delivered on time. That is why at Check-out, we ask for your "In-Hand Date". This lets us know when you need to have your awards.

Can I make any Changes to My Order, after it has been Placed?

Yes. Simply contact us. As long as the award has not been produced, we will be happy to make any changes.

What happens if I approve a proof, but over-looked a typo?

Unfortunately, once that art is approved, and it goes into production, we are not responsible for typos. Proofs are sent out to help avoid errors. Take your time and carefully look over these proofs, before submitting your approval.

If I order an award that has a Presentation Plate, how do I submit our corporate logo?

You can either upload your logo through our website, or email it directly to our Art Department, at artwork@patentcreations.com. For best results, please provide us with a high resolution image (preferably an .eps or .ai file).

How can I be sure that I am supplying you with the right patent number?

On our Home Page, there is a Patent Number Search. Simply type in the patent number and it will display the information associated with the patent number that you entered.

What are the most popular styles of plaques?

Front Page Patent Plaques, Traditional Patent Plaques, and Certificate Patent Plaques, make up about 80% of the orders that we receive. However recently, Ribbon Patent Plaques are becoming more popular. The style board, and the color of the plate, are individual preferences. You may want to make that selection considering the décor of the room that the awards will be placed in.

How did you know that my patent was recently granted?

Once a week, the United States Patent and Trademark Office publishes a free listing of patents and trademarks that have been recently granted.

Do you keep records of my previous orders?

Yes. If you would like to order the same award that you did in the past, simply make a note of that in the Comments section during check-out. We keep records of every job that we do.

Can I include more than one Inventor's name on a plaque?

Yes. When placing your order, please include a note in the comments section to say "Please include the names of all inventors". Even if you forget to do this, you will receive a Virtual Proof to look at before the order goes into production. At that time, you an respond to the email with any changes.

Can I combine more than one patent on a plaque?

If you would like to combine 2, or more, patents onto one plaque, our design team would be more than happy to come up with a custom plaque to suit your needs.

If I have more than one drawing included in my patent, which one will be on my plaque?

We always use the drawing that appears on the front page of your patent. If you have a specific request, please let us know in the Comments section during the Check-Out process. If you would like to include more than one drawing from your patent, please call and speak to a member of our Sales Staff. We would be happy to create a custom award that will meet your needs, and exceed your expectations!

How can I get an estimate of my shipping charges?

When "Checking Out" you will have an option as to how you would like your awards shipped. The approximate shipping cost will be listed for each of the options available (i.e. Ground, Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, etc…).

How will my award be shipped?

Awards are shipped either through UPS, or Priority Mail. Most awards will not fit in to Post Office Boxes, so please provide us with a physical street address for delivery.

What if my award is damaged during shipping?

Simply return the damaged award to us, within 14 days, in its original packaging, and we will send you a replacement at no charge. Please use an insured shipper when returning the package. If you have any additional Questions or concerns, contact one of our Customer Service Representatives at 1-800-272-0310.

Will I have to pay Sales Tax?

Only Illinois residents will be charged Sales Tax. If you have a Tax Exempt Letter, please provide us with a copy, when placing your order. We are required to obtain a copy of this Letter and keep it on file.

What if I can't find what I am looking for?

Simply contact us. Our knowledgeable staff can help you find the right award. In most cases, we can even duplicate an award, or create one custom, specifically for you.
